Take the first road after the Christopher Columbus Memorial (Rue de Mon Repos). You can park along the houses, but if there are a lot of you, you can park in the memorial car park to carpool and optimise the number of cars so as not to disturb the residents too much. This route is circular for the first and last parts: banana fields and sea views on the way back. Lots of porcelain roses, alpinias, etc.
(S/E) Continue along the path that follows the road. Turn left quickly and you will reach a T-junction.
(1) Continue left on the path that forms a circular loop to the right and runs alongside a few houses on the left. At the junction, turn left onto the path, then keep left at the next junction and continue straight ahead for about 100 metres.
(2) Continue left and you will soon reach another fork. Turn left, pass a water reservoir and ignore the two paths on the left.
(3) Leave the forest road and take a small path on the left.
(4) Turn right (it is impossible to go straight ahead) to find a more marked path and arrive at concrete steps: there is a reservoir on the left and the Sainte-Marie River below.
(5) Turn left to walk up a little and enjoy the pretty waterfalls and a small cascade on the left.
(6) Retrace your steps after enjoying the beautiful pool until you reach the previous fork.
(5) Continue down the river. The difficult part of this hike is coming up: you have to get above the Sainte-Marie Waterfall. There is a rope on the left, go around a tree and descend to this level. There is also a rope with the Zombi Waterfall on the left with its two vertical trunks.
(7) Return by the same route to the previous fork.
(5) Go left and retrace your steps to the second three-way junction after the water reservoir.
(2) Head left. Keep left at the three-way junction about a hundred metres further on, then continue straight ahead to return to the car park (S/E).
