Description of the walk

The start is in the village of Catllar, at the cemetery car park on Carrer del Salt Gros.

(S/E) Walk along the left-hand side of the cemetery, cross the bridge over the Castellane and continue to the right along the track until you reach the left-hand bend. Look for a yellow mark on the ground and on the tree.

(1) Continue straight on along a path below the track.

(2) Cross the Còrrec de les Eres and follow the path to the right which runs alongside the Castellane. Continue to the next junction.

(3) Carefully descend to the right along the path and continue to the waterfall.

(4) Turn back and follow the same route in the opposite direction to return to the car park (S/E).

Great place. The "hike" actually takes 45 minutes there and back, and the main attraction is really the waterfall itself. I highly recommend bringing your swimsuit and even a picnic for a timeless moment by the waterfall.
A superb discovery

A lovely walk through the forest, following a river for most of the way; there’s a pretty waterfall at the end.
It’s not a very long walk, but you can extend it once you reach the bottom by following the old irrigation canal along the opposite bank

A very easy short hike. Ideal for spring, and lovely in summer if you bring sun cream and a swimsuit. The setting at the end is absolutely lovely – which is surprising given the severe water shortage in the area, yet the waterfall is a real sight to behold.
