A great walk to get away from the beaches and discover other treasures of the region: the marshland (with its birdlife and winter pastures for horses), the panoramic views (stretching as far as the Saint-Nazaire bridge), prehistoric remains (menhirs), the coastal forest and seaside architecture (the ‘Brévinoises’ villas).

Pornic - Pointe St Gildas - Tharon beach
Two types of landscape for this hike:Jagged rocks and coves from Pornic to Pointe Saint Gildas,Flat rocks with water holes, then the sandy beach from Saint Gildas to Tharon.The journey from Tharon beach to Pornic is by bus.
For experienced walkers, the hike can be completed in one day. It can also be split into two days, with an overnight stay at the hotel at Pointe Saint Gildas.
From Pornic to Port du Collet via the coastal path
A superb walk along the Côte de Jade. The scenery alternates between beaches and cliffs, with numerous well-preserved fishing huts that are used during the summer months. You can see two megaliths at La Joselière and La Fontaine aux Bretons.
