When you arrive in Calvisson, park on the Nîmes road near the village square.
(S/E) Cross the square and go up Grand Rue. Pass the town hall and continue to Les Halles.
(1) Turn right onto Rue des Fontaines, continue along Rue de Florent to the left and at the next intersection, turn right onto Chemin du Lavoir.
Pass the large Lavoir de Florent (which is still in use according to a municipal decree) and at the next intersection, go up Chemin de l'Escatte on the left until you reach Route de Saint-Étienne.
(2) Cross the road and go up Chemin de l'Espendidou opposite, then turn right onto Chemin du Clapas. The small road turns into a dirt track and enters the heath above the houses before joining another small tarmac road.
(3) Continue straight ahead, climbing for a few metres, then turn left onto the discovery trail.
A pleasant path winds its way up through the heath with a few passages through the clapas.
Continue in this way to the summit ridge of Roc de Gachone, where you will find a park with picnic tables.
Follow the track on the left to reach the three mills and the orientation table (at the top ofthe third).
(4) You will discover that there are actually five mills (a fourth, of which only the base remains, is located just below, and a fifth, which you will see later...).
Go around thethird mill on the left, then the base ofthe fourth on the right, to descend via a path marked in yellow.
After a sharp right turn, the path arrives at a pass near some villas. Continue on the left, climbing the small hill and following the yellow markings. At an intersection, a sign will indicate the presence of the ruins of a medieval castle. Go straight up to discover thefifth mill, built in the 18th century and converted into a mausoleum in the early 20th century (the funeral urn remains on the roof).
Retrace your steps and descend on the left towards the village.
Walk past a few houses and continue straight down Rue de l'Hôpital to return to Les Halles.
(1) Continue straight ahead to return to the starting point (S/E).
