Departure from Calabert, near the lake, where there is a large car park where you can park without any problems.
(S/E) Take the path next to Calabert that branches off to the right. Further up at the bend, follow the small path on the right that passes under the cemetery and leads to the village. Turn left, pass under the bridge and climb up in front of the school and then the town hall.
(1) Opposite the town hall, take the road on the left, cross the bridge and follow this path until you reach a multi-directional intersection.
(2) Climb to the left and then follow the tarmac road downhill to join the D228 main road.
(3) Follow it to the right, then turn left at the next crossroads. Cross the bridge and continue to the crossroads at the hamlet of Les Chièzes.
(4) Go up the road on the right, passing above a farm building. Go past Les Tourettes. Take the large dirt track opposite between the meadows. Enter the forest, pass close to a cherry orchard and reach the hamlet of Comberoure.
(5) Cross it and take the tarmac road on the left. Follow it to the Bozas district crossroads with the RD533.
(6) Go down it to the left for a few metres and at the next crossroads, take the small tarmac road on the right towards Sautereaux.
(7) At this hamlet, leave the tarmac road that branches off to the right and continue along the dirt track that passes between two buildings. Stay on this track to cross fields and forests and reach the Jouves neighbourhood above the village of Désaignes.
(8) Keep left to begin the descent towards the village of Désaignes. Turn right near the cemetery and the large car park and follow the small lane downhill.
(9) Take the stairs on the left to reach the main road, pass in front of the old hotel and the butcher's shop, and follow the road that branches off to the left just before the bar.
(10) Continue along the road beside the river, passing the artistic bar La Sources and the distillery Les Essentielles, then climb between some newly built houses. You will reach the hamlet of Les Clusels.
(11) After the last house below the road, turn left onto the path and follow it through woods and fields. You will come to a Y-shaped crossroads.
(12) Take the grassy path that climbs to the right, then turn left into the woods to reach a bridge. Cross the stream, walk along the left side of the meadow, then climb a short hill to reach the small paved road.
(13) Turn left to reach the Calaber car park via the Freydières neighbourhood (S/E).
