Lyssandre circular to Engranne

The walk starts from Lugaignac Town Hall.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn left, then right and continue to Peyrelebade, passing two forks in the road.

(1) Opposite, at the fire hydrant, take the sunken path between the trees. Turn left into the woods, then left again at the exit. Walk along the grove towards the limestone path and the hamlet of Maurice.

(2) Back on the tarmac road, turn left, then right. Immediately turn left into the vineyard lane. Go around the plot on the left, then follow the Lyssandre stream. At the tarmac road, turn right onto the farm track.

(3) Turn left onto the farm track, between the fields, and follow it up to the hamlet of Brussac, where you turn right, then immediately left into the one-way street. At the end, join the D122.

(4) Turn right, then left towards Jean Larc at the Y-junction.

(5) At the crossroads, take the road in front of you and, after a few metres, turn right at the first bend. Take the path on the left between the vineyards. Follow this vineyard lane, which turns into a small limestone path. You will come back onto the tarmac road.

(6) Back on the tarmac road, turn left and follow it to the next intersection.

(7) Turn left, then take the path between the vineyards at the first bend. Follow the embankment at the bottom. At the road, turn left, then right onto the farm track until you reach the D128.

(8) Cross it and take the grassy path opposite you. Walk along the vineyards and enter the woods.

(9) At the edge of the woods, turn right to walk alongside them. At the end, take the path on the left and follow it to reach the woods opposite you.

(10) Follow the Roger Lapébie cycle path for a few metres, then turn left onto the path. Pass between the vineyards and join the road.

(11) Follow it to the left until you reach the D19. Cross the D19 and go straight ahead onto the grassy path. Head towards the copse, go around it and continue straight ahead until you reach the road.

(12) Turn right, then left onto the grassy path before the houses. Walk along the vineyards and join the housing estate. Turn right and, at the roundabout, take the third exit (on the left) to the D128.

(13) Turn right, then left onto the small road that descends just after the speed bump. Then take the limestone path and follow it to the Girolatte fork.

(14) Turn right, then left after the first stone building. Continue straight on this path until you reach the woods, where you turn right to follow it. Cross the two copses and turn left just before the tarmac road. Then go around the house and enter the woods to cross the Ruisseau du Prieur stream and arrive in the hamlet of Prussi.

(15) Walk past the houses and take the path on your right. Continue along this path to reach the hamlet of Labroue. Turn right. At the end of the path, turn right, then follow the small road which turns into a path. Walk up towards the church and the village of Saint-Aubin-de-Branne.

(16) At the stop sign, turn right and then right again at the Y-junction to reach a fork.

(17) Turn right onto the small road called Route du Prieuré and follow it. The road turns into a limestone path, then becomes grassy. You will then walk alongside a wood and continue along this path, which goes to the left until you reach a crossroads.

(18) Take the path in front of you and, at the next bend, turn right to leave this limestone path. Turn left after the second vineyard and take the limestone path that leads to the road, where you turn right until you reach an intersection.

(19) Turn right, then left onto the small limestone path that runs alongside the grove. You can continue to the Engranne stream.

(20) Then retrace your steps.

(19) This time, turn right towards Pistouley. At the bend, leave the road and take the path. Continue until you reach the woods.

(21) Turn left and go around it. Take the path between the vineyards. Follow the vineyard path on your left to reach the grove, then continue to the road.

(22) Turn right onto the road, then left towards Pistouley. Walk along the stone wall, then take the path on your right. Facing the woods, turn left, then enter them by turning right. Follow the path to the hamlet of Roqueblanche and cross it.

(23) At the road, turn right, then left at the first intersection. In the first bend, turn left into the sunken lane between the trees. Head to the right to walk along the path between the vineyards and reach the hamlet.

(24) At the junction with the road, take the small path opposite, next to the house. Head towards the copse, then join the hamlet by turning right just after the copse.

(25) At the road, turn left and take the path. Back on the road, turn right and cross the D19. In the bend, take the path and go around the copse on the right. Continue to the road.

(26) Turn right, then left at the first intersection to return to your starting point (S/E).
