Coming from Habère-Poche, before the Col de Terramont, at a place called "Les Mouilles", take the road on the left towards "Chez Jordan". At the next intersection, keep left (towards "Chez le Curial"). Turn right towards "Le Cavali" and the holiday centre. Turn around in front of the holiday camp and drive back a little to park (there are about three parking spaces).
(S/E) Go down the road for 150 metres until you reach a crossroads with a footpath.
(1) Take it, going up to the right (sign indicating Col des Arces 0h55). Follow this path east-northeast (a few red-yellow markers).
(2) At the foot of a small hill on the left, continue north-east on the same path. You will come to a crossroads.
(3) Take the small path on the left (note that the sign is under the trees on the right and is not very visible). A few metres further on, you will find more prominent markings. Descend towards Les Arces. You will come out onto a much wider path.
(4) Take it, climbing to the right (there is a sign, not very visible, indicating "Leschaux"). The red and yellow markings stop there, with only a few pale yellow dots remaining. Continue to the houses of "Leschaux" (quite steep). You will then find a sign pointing towards "Terramont - Bois de la Turche".
(5) Turn right in front of the houses and follow the path, which becomes grassy and climbs steadily and for a long distance to the south-west. Walk along the Bois de la Turche on your right. You will come to a wide, grassy crossroads with a cross on the left (hidden in the trees).
(6) Continue along the path, leaving the path to Les Granges on your left. Return to the crossroads you took at the start of the circular.
(3) Take the same path as on the way out and after 500 metres you will reach a fork leading to a small grassy hill with two trees at the top.
(2) Climb up the hill on the right. From these trees, you will have a beautiful view of a small part of Lake Geneva and Mont Forchat on the right.
(7) Reach the crossroads and turn right to complete the circular, returning to the car park (S/E).
Hence the importance of having good hiking shoes!
