Park in the car park near the Quintenas boules court, next to the Marie Misery state school.
(S/E) Head north along Rue René Cassin. Stay on the pavements and use the pedestrian crossings, especially during the first few minutes. You will quickly leave the village centre behind and reach some pretty, peaceful country lanes. Come out onto Rue des Écoles, follow it to the left and then turn right twice to reach the roundabout known as "Pontet".
(1) Take the second exit towards Chemin des Tisseuses. Continue to the end of the tarmac road and follow the path that leads away from the traffic to quieter, more rural paths. Follow the path straight ahead, enter the woods and quickly turn right to reach Chemin du Vignet, named after the neighbourhood you are about to cross.
(2) Turn right at the hairpin bend and cross the Vignet neighbourhood. Once you reach the end, take the left turn onto Chemin du Moulin sur Cance and continue for about 40 metres.
(3) Turn right onto a small path that crosses a small wood before coming to a four-way crossroads. Cross the crossroads, continue straight ahead on Chemin le Tourtel and continue to the cross.
(4) Leave the road and take a new small hiking and mountain biking trail that starts on the right. At the Montaux crossroads, turn left and follow the signs for "Pont des amis".
(5) This bridge was built in 2019 by a group of volunteers from the village. Cross it and continue up a small hill to return to the village and come out on Route de Rome. Follow it, turning right, pass the cemetery and continue to the D578.
(6) Cross at the pedestrian crossing and continue straight on along Route d'Ardoix. At the end, turn right until you reach the nearby crossroads.
(7) Join Chemin des Rampeaux and then turn right onto Sentier des Violettes, which leads to Route de Saint-Romain d'Ay.
(8) Turn right, then take a sharp left turn to follow Route de Saint-Alban d'Ay for a few metres before reaching the car park (S/E).
