Description of the walk

Start from the village hall in Millebosc.

Head towards the church but keep to the right.
At the junction (1), take the exit on the right out of the village.
Just as you leave the village, turn right onto a street which, further on, leads onto a grassy path. This path descends to the Poteau du Hêtre des Princes (2).

Then take the forest track on the left, heading towards Route Tournante.
Continue along the widest path on the right. Keep heading generally south or south-west and stay on the main path, ignoring the small grassy paths you encounter on the right or left. Climb up to the gate located before the forest house (3).

At the gate, take the path on the left (marked with red and yellowGR® de Pays signs). Head north-east and ignore any side paths. At one point the path descends; continue along it until you cross Route Tournante (which has, over time, become a wide dirt track) and take the small path that climbs up opposite. Join the road and turn left. Reach the church at Millebosc and turn right to return to the starting point.

A nice little route.
Following on from the previous comment, I’d like to point out that at point No. 3, the path does indeed exist; you just need to go over the small mound of earth and follow the directions.

Thank you, Claire61, for this little route

A pleasant little walk starting in the centre of the village

Please note: at point 3, the path no longer exists. Follow the edge of the forest, lined on one side by beech trees and on the other by fir trees (see photo). The path is very narrow at the start...

Mostly sheltered from the rain by the trees.
The paths are very damp and there are plenty of mosquitoes at this time of year.

The Mont Blanc trail has partially disappeared due to tree felling; once you reach La Marette farm, you must now follow the small mountain bike track along the edge of the meadows for about 600 metres, then turn left (young fir plantation), then take the forest track on the right until you reach the D315, turn left, and the road will take you back to the village of Millebosc

Circular walk through the forest following a very well-marked trail: the return route, for 1,200 metres, is littered with fallen trees and muddy ruts. Hiking boots are essential. Thank you for this challenging hike.
