Lignan-de-Bordeaux and Cénac circular loop

(S/E) From the car park, take the road on the left towards the church. At the church, take the steps on the right up to the forecourt. Walk along the right-hand side of the building, exit through the gate and continue straight on along Chemin de Cazallis

(1) Turn left onto the grassy path that runs alongside the houses.

(2) At the end of the path, continue straight on along the road then turn right at house no. 9. The path climbs through the woods then follows pastures. When you reach the farm on Chemin de Rozet, turn right through the vineyards towards the hamlet of Mons.

(3) Turn left onto the dirt track and join the D115E9

(4) First turn right then left, cross with care and continue along the Allée du Cloutet. Cross the forest. Caution: in places the path may be muddy

(5) As you leave the forest, turn right onto the road and you will reach the Bois de Desfonseau car park. Enter the woods by turning left, cross the footbridge and then turn left. Follow the Ruisseau de Rauzé stream and then follow the path which leads you into a clearing. Continue straight on to reach a housing estate

(6) In the housing estate, go straight on along Allée de l’Amitié. At the end of the lane, cross the road and then cut across the green space. Take Avenue des Tilleuls on the right, then turn left onto Avenue de Montgirard.

(7) At the junction, turn right, then before the church, at the roundabout, take the small path on the right. Follow it to the next junction.

(8) At the junction, go round the roundabout and continue right onto the dirt track until the next junction. Cut across Avenue du Bois des Filles and continue straight on.

(9) At the end of the path, turn left then right onto Allée de Lamothe. Continue straight on until you reach the woods and cross through them

(10) At the bottom of the path, turn right onto the cycle path and follow it to the Citon-Cénac lodge. Caution: watch out for cyclists; stay well to the left of the path, one behind the other.

(11) Cross a road and rejoin the cycle path. Turn onto the road leading uphill to your right. After passing the bamboo grove, turn left. Follow the path running parallel to the cycle path. It gradually heads into the woods, passing numerous quarry entrances. Stay firmly on the left-hand path to rejoin the cycle path

(12) Follow it to the right, as far as the village of Lignan, where you will return to your starting point, bearing in mind that you do not have right of way on the cycle path (S/E).
