Description of the walk

(S/E) From the signpost between the school complex and the bakery, follow the small steep road that leads to the cemetery.

(1) Pass the cemetery, then leave the tarmac road and continue straight ahead on a wide white path. Cross the road, continue straight ahead through the woods and arrive at a fork.

(2) At the next intersection, continue straight ahead, leaving the path on your left. At the end of the path, turn left onto the dirt road towards Chaniveau.

(3) Go through the hamlet, which has some beautiful late medieval houses. At the intersection with Impasse de la Salvine, go down the road on the left. At the Chaniveau fountain at the bottom of the road, turn left onto the departmental road (D109) and walk for a few minutes until you reach the firebreak (DFCI) on the right.

(4) Turn right, then right again to reach a viewpoint at a place called Boutard.

(5) Continue and, at the bus shelter, take the paved road on the left. Continue straight ahead on the Boutard road. After a few metres, turn left at the corner of the stone barn. At the intersection, turn right to leave the hamlet, taking the Boutard road until you reach the dirt track.

(11) Cross and take the Route du Cros de la Nauve, which goes around the motocross centre. Pass the Les Tuillières hiking stop and then take the firebreak path on the right. After a few metres, leave this path and take the path on the left. At the end of the path, join another forest path straight ahead. The path turns into a tarmac road in the hamlet.

(12) At the end of Impasse de la Grand Font, turn left. At the next intersection, take the dirt track immediately on the left. Continue straight ahead. At the end of the forest track, join the tarmac road on the right. Then join a track on the left.

(13) Follow this road. After about ten metres, take the road immediately on the right, leaving the road on the left. Continue to follow the road, which turns slightly to the left. At the end of the grassy road, join a white gravel road on the right. At the end of the road, join a gravel road on the left.

(14) Follow it. At the end of this path, cross a paved road.

(15) Take the path opposite. At the bottom of the path, continue straight ahead, leaving the path on your right. At the end of the path, cross the tarmac road.

(16) Take the forest track called Route de la Forge. At the end of the track, rejoin the tarmac road and take the grassy track on the right, Chemin de la Messe, which leads to the church. Go up to the left towards the school complex (S/E).
