Park in the Tholonet car park opposite the Relais Cézanne bar and restaurant, north of the D17 (1.80 m height restriction).
(S/E) Exit the car park via a small passageway that leads to the D17. Turn left, pass in front of the town hall and then the church, and continue to the Moulin de Cézanne.
Leave the D17 by turning left onto the shaded hill. Leave the cemetery on your left and take the Chemin de Doudon diagonally to the right. Pass a metal gate on your right and take a track on the left, marked with yellow signs. After a bend, the track heads east and becomes a wide path. Continue through the woods, climbing up to a viewpoint.
(1) The viewpoint can be reached by leaving the path to the right towards a yellow cross (10m). You are now near the top of the Doudon aqueduct, which continues underground towards the south.
Then return to the track, which heads north and then north-west. After 200 metres, take the track on the right (yellow marker) and descend to the aqueduct. Pass underneath and follow the track to the bottom of a fairly steep descent, which is concrete then earth for about 30 metres. Walk to a wooden post with a sign indicating Retour Parking Toscan.
(2) The path on the right is not very visible. Leave the track, pass just in front of the post and then, between two bushes, climb one or two steps onto a rock. Descend via a small path where steps have been built. At the bottom of the slope, continue through the woods, reach the car park and follow its western edge to the D17.
(3) Cross the D17 with caution and first turn right then left (50m) to take the uphill track opposite, indicated by a CCFF (Comités Communaux Feux de Forêt) sign. Go through the barrier and continue to a fork on the right.
(4) Take the descent to the right, heading west. After a wooden barrier, you will rejoin the tarmac road (Chemin de la Brunette).
(5) Turn left onto the small road that descends. At the "Chemin des Florents" sign, continue straight on until you reach Chemin de la Belle Fille, which you take on the left. At the stop sign, turn right and carefully cross the D17 to easily reach the Tholonet car park (S/E).
Avoid if you want a challenging hike, but enjoyable if you want a very easy trail that is less crowded than Roques-Hautes during these times of pandemic.
