The starting point is near the small village of Gez-ez-Angles, which can be reached via a pretty little cul-de-sac road that climbs 2 km from Arcizac-ez-Angles. At the entrance to the village, take the small road that climbs to the right for 350 m, then park in the large square at the end of this road near a water tank.
(S/E) From the car park, head west, go through the metal gate (be sure to close it behind you as you are in a pastoral area) and continue straight ahead, following the wide ridge in front of you. The area is often frequented by horses and cows. The view over the village and countryside of Lourdes is already interesting. After the watering hole, continue straight up the ridge, ignoring the paths to the right and left, until you reach the summit of Aubuchous at an altitude of 713 metres, marked by a concrete geodetic marker.
(1) Enjoy the wide 360° panorama with Montaigu in the background.
Continue straight ahead along the path that descends through the ferns to reach a clear crossroads where there is another drinking trough.
(2) Turn left onto the wide path that descends, then winds its way through the woods, passing above a hut and below a barn (yellow markings and mountain bike route).
(3) At the intersection (the yellow markings indicate to turn left), go through the gate and continue straight ahead, following the mountain bike route. You will soon return to the small road you took at the beginning.
Turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
