Park in the centre of Optevoz at the speed bump in the car park
(S/E) Start at the cross, Chemin du Château towards the equestrian centre. Pass it and start climbing towards the lagoon. Reach the ponds, which are the Sources du Pré Bonnet.
(1) Immediately turn left and take the gravel path. Stay on this path, ignoring all the paths branching off to the right and left. Continue through the woods and, when you come out, stay on the road to the left to quickly reach the Étang de Bas.
(2) Continue south on the path that alternates between woods and fields to reach the town hall of Siccieu.
(3) Turn left onto Rue de l'Église, then turn right at the next crossroads onto Chemin de la Croix. Continue along this path to reach the crossroads at the right-angle junction with Chemin des Romains.
(4) Cross it and continue straight ahead to reach the northern point of the Étang Neuf.
(5) Walk along the northern shore of this pond, then take the path on the right, which climbs slightly and curves to the left to reach a large farm.
(6) Cross it, then walk along the edge of a wood, continue straight ahead, passing north of the Étang de Billonnay. Leave the wood and arrive at the crossroads of the road at a place called Piarday.
(7) Continue straight ahead along Chemin de Montchalin and go around another pond to reach the crossroads at Château de Montchalin.
(8) Take the path lined with hedges on the left, then turn left onto the path separating the fields of Hautebise. Enter the woods again to reach the Grivioux crossroads in the Bois des Comtesses.
(9) Turn left, pass under the high-voltage power lines, enter the woods again and continue to the southern bank of the Étang de Lemps.
(10) Continue straight ahead to reach the Y-junction at a place called Sertet, where you will see a signpost.
(11) Turn left at this sign and follow the path. Do not turn off, but continue to a stone descent that leads to a housing estate. Go to the end of the estate, turn left, follow the road and take thefirst left.
(12) Continue for a few metres and take the path on the left between a stone house and an orange house. Take the wooded path and continue straight ahead until you have to turn right.
(13) Follow the path straight ahead until you reach the stadium and the Optevoz boules court. At the village hall, take the street on the right. At the end of this street, turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach the car park in the centre of Optevoz (S/E).
. The hike is long, but there are no technical difficulties.
