Park in the village square of Chadron, south of Le Puy-en-Velay.
(S/E) Take a small road towards Sigaud. After 100 metres, take a path on the left behind a large stone house and pass behind the village church. At the cemetery, take a path that climbs to the right to a place called La Gauthière. Join the small road and turn left uphill to reach a crossroads with several directions.
(1) Turn onto the path on the left and continue uphill to reach Chemin de Stevenson, theGR®70.
(2) Turn right and continue until you reach a T-junction in the woods.
(3) Leave theGR® here and take the path on the right that climbs into the woods. At the end of the climb, you will reach a quarry. Go around it on the right. Reach the edge of the woods.
(4) Turn right and follow the woods along a wide path. Rejoin theGR® for a few metres and reach the hamlet of Le Mont. Take the road on the right, Route de la Carrière, until you reach a traffic island with a children's playground and two magnificent closed wells. Continue to the cross.
(5) Turn right. Take the lower path (preferably, as it is prettier and closer to the valley), as the two paths meet a few hundred metres further on. Go through the animal fence via the pedestrian opening on the side. Continue along the path until you reach the next fence (remember to close it behind you). Be careful, there are often cattle here, so take care not to disturb them. You will arrive above the hamlet of Chabreyres.
(6) Descend, cross the village and turn right. Continue along the path to the end of the road, until you reach a crossroads with a house with a green roof on the left.
(7) Descend opposite along the path to reach a small road.
(8) Take it to the right until you reach the hamlet of Tallobre, cross it and you will find a four-way crossroads in the shape of an X at the exit.
(9) Take the road on the left and then enter the hamlet of Sigaud. Walk past the wash house and look for a path on the right before the hamlet of Les Clauses.
(10) Take this path, quickly entering a wood to find the initial crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1) Turn left and head towards the houses in La Gauthière. Keep left on the road to La Gauthière, then turn right onto the road to Le Bourg to return to the car park in the village square in Chadron (S/E).
