Start : Belvézet (30580), church car park.
(S/E) Turn left towards the village. Leave the road and go down to the right (yellow markings). Arrive at the sign Mas de l'Ancienne Église.
(1) Turn left towards Boutetière (ignore two streets on the left). Having arrived at Boutetière, go in the direction of Montaren and Médiers. The path goes uphill to continue along the crest of the hill.
(2) At the Lavat sign, turn right towards Montaren and Médiers - Coston. The wide track goes downhill on a tarred portion which leads to a vineyard.
(3). The path goes to the right, always follow the yellow markings, continue to the village of Saint-Médiers.
(4) At the entrance to the village, turn right on a path, then opposite a street, (ignore two streets on the right and left) to arrive at a crossroads.
(5) Turn right and then quickly left on a path shaded by small trees which follows a wall and then passes an old well. Arrive at a bridge on the RD125/RD136b, cross it.
(6) Turn right towards Labaume then left on Rue des Jardins. At the Labaume sign, go left towards Aigaliers and Foussargues. Pass through the village and continue until you arrive at a T junction.
(7) Turn right towards Aigaliers and Combe de Pousselargues. Go up the vale to reach the sign Combe de Pousselargues. Follow the yellow markings in the direction of Aigaliers. 20 metres further, go to the right, direction Chabian, this path descends to rejoin the plain. After passings several cultivated fields on your right hand side, you arrive at a T junction.
(8) Ignore the path marked on the right and take the path on the left (marked with a yellow cross), which also follows the stream for a while.
Continue on the path for about 300m, then reach another T junction. Turn left, ignore the first path on the right and continue to the next.
(9) Take the path that goes up on the right. Be careful at this point, as the path is not very visible. After 50m, when the path turns slightly to the left, take the small path that goes up to the right in the scrubland. This path leads to the top of the hill on a forest trail.
(10) Once on this path, (you should see in front of you the ruins of the Castelas). Turn left on this forest path and then, at the next crossing, turn right on the path that goes straight down to Belvézet.
(11) At ¾ of the way down, a small marker on the left shows a small path that goes up to the ruins of the castle, make the return journey if you feel like it and come back to the path.
(1) Finish the descent to reach the D218, turn right to reach the church car park.(S/E).
