Start from the hamlet of Annunziata, where you’ll find a car park in the small square by the church.
(S/E) Head towards the cemetery. You’ll see a few monumental tombs facing the sea, which are a distinctive feature of Barrettali.
At the end of the track, follow the path that descends directly to the left towards the Furcone stream. At the junction just before the cistern, turn left. Once you reach the stream, turn right to see the Genoese bridge, which has been restored by the village association, as well as an old, ruined watermill, the Moulin du Furcone.
(1) Retrace your steps and take the first path on the right: a sign for ‘Conchigliu’ points the way. When you reach a dry-stone wall, just before it, take the path that runs alongside it on the right to pass through an old, ruined hamlet and discover the perfectly preserved remains of a millstone carved directly out of the rock.
(2) Turn back and head once more towards Conchigliu. Walk through the hamlet, with its charming narrow streets, and go round the Battisti House on the right to return to the starting point (S/E).
