Starting from the car park on the edge of the forest at Tier de Viné, the route follows wide country lanes to join the road linking Borlon to the pretty hamlet of Oneux.
Right from the start, the undulating nature of the Condroz is clearly visible with a beautiful view to the north.
At Oneux, the route takes another ridge and then reaches the bottom of the village of Borlon.
After a second dip, the route climbs back up the ridge south of Vervoz and Bois-et-Borsu, then crosses the Bois de Mont and reaches Chardeneux and its small locks on the Néblon.
The return journey takes you through the Plaine Sapin, a hotbed of resistance during the Second World War.
This variation of our Three Provinces Walk in Bonsin is a little shorter but, it should be noted, involves a little more tarmac on fairly quiet country roads.

Located mainly in Famenne, on the border with the Ardennes, this circular route alternates between woodland and countryside, with a short section along the River Ourthe. With very little elevation gain and plenty of hard-surfaced paths (cycle paths, local roads or access roads to residential estates), it presents no difficulty other than the odd slightly muddy footpath or forest track. Lovely views over the northern part of the Famenne and the Ourthe valley between the residential area of Plain de Holset (Monteuville) and Melreux.

From Bomal-sur-Ourthe Castle to the ruins of Logne Castle
At the intersection of the Condroz, Ardennes and Famenne regions, walk through limestone grasslands, forests and country lanes to reach Logne Castle and back.
The bridges over the Aisne (5) and the Lembrée, after the (13), have temporarily disappeared. If you start this hike, please bear in mind that you may have to wade across the river (5) as there is no other alternative.
Circular at Logne Castle
This fairly long circular loop starting from the Palogne estate (large car park) begins by following the course of the Ourthe for a few kilometres before entering a forest and then countryside setting with numerous panoramic views of the plateau overlooking the Ourthe and its tributaries. On the Ourthe: egrets, ducks, cormorants and herons await you.You will see the rocks and the "beach" of Sy, where you can read an information panel about the aborted Meuse-Moselle canal project. Further on, you will pass close to Lassus Castle, which can be glimpsed between the tall trees in its grounds. In Vieuxville, it is probably the resurgence of the Lembrée that will catch your eye, before you see the limestone grasslands further on and finally the fortified castle of Logne. With a bit of luck (in season), you can even visit (for a fee) the ruins of this fortified castle built on top of a rocky outcrop.
