Around Boulevard Nature: Arche de la Nature, the Prairie House

From Le Mans, take the D152 towards Changé. Drive past the Abbaye de l’Épau, then after the bend, turn left to park at the Parking du Verger car park.

(S/E) From the car park, continue straight on along the path leading to the Maison de la Prairie. You’ll come to the junction marking the start of the circular route.

(1) Walk past the sign showing the route of the remarkable trees, then continue straight ahead at the next two junctions and keep to the right. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the edge of the forest at the Carrefour de la Futaie.

(2) Turn left onto the path towards the Maison de la Prairie. Keep left at the first junction and you’ll arrive at the Maison de la Prairie.

(3) Follow the signs for the Parking du Verger by turning left. Take the path passing under the power line at the first fork. Go round the pond on the right, leaving it on the right once you’ve completed 75 per cent of the circuit, to return to the junction you passed on the way out.

(1) Turn right onto the path leading back to the Parking du Verger car park (S/E).
