The start and finish points are at the Gréasque Mining Museum. Access by car is possible thanks to the car park in front of the museum.
(S/E) Go down Route de la Chapelle to the right of the museum car park between the two stone pillars. Cross the mining towns to the nursery school.
(1) Take the pedestrian crossing, cross Avenue Jean Moulin, then turn left at the gymnasium and go down the stairs. Then turn right onto Boulevard Marius Ollive and continue to the town hall.
(2) Turn right and walk down Avenue Émile Zola to the roundabout. Walk along the buildings on the left to Rue du Docteur Gobin, which is a dead end.
(3) Turn left onto this street and, at the end, continue along the path through the woods until you reach the second DFCI barrier.
(4) After 20 metres, go down the steps on the left, cross the road and take the Tombereau path to another DFCI barrier.
(5) After 50 metres, take the path down to the stream, cross it and turn left until you reach a pond.
(6) Cross the wooden bridge, turn right onto the path along the stream and head towards the charcoal burners' housing estate.
(7) At the end, turn right and go through the DFCI barrier.
(8) Cross the concrete ford over the Le Grand Vallat stream. You will come to a fork in the path.
(9) Go up the Roman road (the second climb on the right) and continue to a crossroads.
(10) Turn onto the path that descends to the right and continue for about 1 km until you reach a crossroads.
(11) Keep right on the main road going up towards the Bonaventure well at the top of the slope.
(12) Just before the DCFI barrier, descend to the left across the field and then take the path on the right. Continue straight ahead for 1.13 km. You will enter the Thubet area.
(13) Continue through the undergrowth to visit the Béthune well. Leave the undergrowth to rejoin the main road going uphill.
(14) Take the path on the left, continue for about 350 m before turning right onto the path towards the Dubreuil and Saint-Pierre wells and then join the wider main track.
(15) Turn left and continue to the large crossroads.
(16) Take the path downhill on the left towards the Prosper well.
(17) Pass this well and continue along the main path.
(11) At the crossroads you passed on the way there, turn right. After 150 metres, take the path on the left and continue to the fork you passed on the way there.
(9) Turn left and descend to the concrete ford, which you also passed on the way there.
(8) Cross the concrete ford and go up the path to the right of the car park to reach the Traverse de la Verrerie.
(18) At the crossroads, turn right and follow Route de la Résidence du Parc for 50 metres, then turn left to enter the castle grounds.
(19) Walk up through the park, past the château, then take Boulevard Marius Ollive to the town hall you passed on the way there.
(2) Turn right and follow the same route you took on the way there to return to the Gréasque mining museum (S/E).
