Start from the Town Hall car park
(S/E) Head towards the church. Opposite the castle, turn left onto Route de Jouy-le-Potier, then take a small path (Chemin des Marnières) on your left and follow it. When you reach a tarmac road, cross it and continue straight on, following theGR® de Pays route “Sentier historique de la Vallée des Rois”. You will come to a junction with four paths.
(1) Turn onto a small path on the left (Chemin des Sages) then onto the Chemin des Grandes Charennes. You will reach another junction of four paths near the vineyards.
(2) Turn right onto the Chemin des Maisons Brulées, then at the next junction keep right onto the Chemin des Ajoncs, followed by the Chemin du Grand Chêne, which ends at another four-way junction.
(3) Turn 90° to the right onto Chemin de La Bonne Blanche, which again follows the GRP®. You will reach another crossroads.
(4) Turn right towards the ‘Sentier historique de la Vallée des Rois’ to return to the first junction.
(1) Turn left onto the Chemin des Ânes and follow it until you cross the D15/D13.
(5) Turn right onto it (Caution: danger – heavy traffic; further on you will find a path running alongside the ditch, protecting you from the road). After the Guérinière quarries, cross the road and take a small path on the left. When you reach a tarmac road, turn right until you reach the Stop sign.
(6) Turn left, then immediately left again. At the end of the path, turn right onto Chemin de Cléry to rejoin the D15.
(7) Turn slightly right and follow the D15 road (watch out for cars). When you reach a junction, cross it and follow signs for Mézières-les-Cléry (3 km). Continue along the small path running alongside the road. Cross the road and take the road on your left to reach the Croix de Bailly.
(8) Take the small forest path on the right – this is the Chemin du Tour du Roi – and stay on it until you cross theGR® again, where you will see signposts.
(9) Turn right onto theGRP® to reach a new junction marked by a cross.
(10) Continue straight ahead, leaving theGRP® on your right, until you reach another crossroads.
(11) Take the path on the right to reach the D215 and the car park (S/E).
