Description of the walk

The start and finish of this 13 km hike is the car park at Boissy-l'Aillerie station.

(S/E) From the car park, turn right onto Avenue de la Gare, go to the war memorial and turn left onto Rue de la République (PR®)

(1) Go uphill following thePR®, then turn left onto Chemin de Rochelle.

(2) Follow thePR®, which will take you to the edge of the Cormeilles en Vexin aerodrome runways.
On the old concrete runway, walk along the airfield runways on your right, heading towards Cormeilles-en-Vexin.

(3) At the end of the runway, before entering Cormeilles, turn left onto Rue des Terres Rouges, following the PR®.
Then turn right onto the path (Ruelle des Murs) which will take you to the main road in Cormeilles-en-Vexin (Rue Curie).

(4) Turn left, following thePR®, then left onto Rue Guynemer, which leads behind the village church.
After going around the church, leave thePR® and turn left onto Rue de Montgeroult.

(5). At the village exit, continue along the road until you reach the entrance to Montgeroult, leaving the Bois de la Futaie on your right.

(6) Take Route de Cormeilles, pass in front of the cemetery and on the right in front of the Château de Mongeroult.

(7) Join the PR®. At the end of Rue du Fruchot, take Rue du Raidillon, which leads to a level crossing at the entrance to Courcelles-sur-Viosne.

(8) From there, follow Rue du Moulin and thePR® markers to the car park at Boissy-l'Aillerie station, after passing through Courcelles-sur-Viosne (Rue de la Libération then Rue de la Source) and a detour into the countryside.

(9) Pass the pumping station. This part of the route includes a short climb through the woods. Return to the station car park (S/E).

A hike that actually covers a lot of roads. We pass along the old disused airport road that runs through the middle of the fields. From Cormeilles en Vexin to Montgeroult, it is a small, quiet road that crosses a section of forest at one point.
There is very little shade, so it is best to avoid hot days.
However, in spring, you can't get enough of the beautiful views of the fields.
We cut this hike short to catch the train at Montgeroult-Courcelles station.

Hello. The route includes a lot of road. Initially, I modified it to avoid a long stretch through town with a hill at the beginning. Otherwise, it's fine but monotonous. Best regards. Jean-Claude

Accessible to everyone, up to Cormeilles and on the way back, a beautiful view of Paris, the Eiffel Tower and La Défense.
It's a shame that we are on a quiet country road (with little traffic), which means we have to walk in single file.
What's more, the "Myballade" app provides explanations about the local heritage and history.
Walking while learning is for the curious!

A pleasant and easy hike as it is not very hilly.
On the way back, it's a shame to walk on tarmac, but it's still a quiet country road.

Passing through beautiful villages. The hike would be even better if you followed the PR8 trail throughout to avoid walking on the small road that leads to the village of Montgeroult.

Thank you, FicellePicarde. It's fine that you don't find it interesting. But does that call into question the quality of the description and the map?

This hike is not particularly interesting, except for the last third of the route.
We made a slight change at the beginning, choosing to bypass the village by going through the woods at the very start of the walk.
Disappointing because there was a lot of road and not much real nature.
I won't be doing this hike again.

You just need to be careful when leaving Boissy, as the sign for the Chemin de la Rochelle is hidden by bushes...
A very good, peaceful walk through pretty villages.
Also check the train timetable from Paris-St Lazare, as the train we had planned to take at 9.57am was simply cancelled...

A pleasant walk, but best done when the sun isn't too strong: the concrete path along Cormeilles aerodrome was challenging, as was the road between Cormeilles and Montgeroult.
A few details about the route: where possible, it would be helpful to give the names of streets or paths to help with navigation: On Chemin de Cormeilles, follow the PR (Chemin de Justice or, a little further up, Chemin de la Rochelle).
At the entrance to Courcelles sur Viosne, specify the names of the streets to take (rue de la Libération, rue de la Source).
