(S/E) Station car park. Rue de la Gare. Start on Rue Alphonse Jacques (alongside the railway line). Cross the junction and walk past the Leloup Chapel. When you reach the steps leading down, head towards Rue de l’Abattoir.
(1) Walk past the old building and the troughs of a washhouse. Cross Rue de Barisart and carry on straight ahead. Cross Rue Jean-Philippe de Limbourg and carry on straight ahead along Rue Sandberg. Turn right onto Rue Deleau, then immediately left onto Rue Jehin Prum. Turn right onto Boulevard Rener and walk past the football pitch. Turn left after the football pitch onto Avenue Marie-Thérèse, but do not go all the way to the end.
(2) Turn right onto Avenue Jehin Deschamps and, at the end of it, turn left into a cul-de-sac. There is a small path between the houses leading to Route de Géronstère. Turn right, then turn left onto Chemin de la Roche.
(3) At the Spailier Chapel, carry on straight ahead and follow this main track until you reach Avenue de Havette.
Turn right and walk downhill to the Picherotte stream.
(4) Cross the wooden footbridge and head up the path on the left. Turn left and walk past a campsite. Turn right onto Rue de la Sauvenière N62 and walk past the campsite’s main entrance. When you reach Avenue Joseph Lemaire on your left, cross very carefully and take this road. Follow this road until you reach the junction with Chemin Sous Bois and turn right.
(5) At the Sauvenière stream, carry on straight ahead. When you reach the junction with Avenue Peltzer de Clemont, turn left onto it and follow it to the next junction. Carry on straight ahead towards the source of the Tonnelet.
(6) Retrace your steps and turn left onto Chemin des Près. At the end of this, turn right onto Chemin du Soyeureux.
(7) When you reach the church at Nivezé, turn left. Pass under the Ravel footbridge and turn immediately left onto Chemin du Pré Collin. Take Chemin de la Fontaine on the left and head towards the entrance to Lac de Warfaaz.
(8) Walk round the lake anti-clockwise.
(9) At the end of the lake, turn right onto Route Amédée Hesse and walk past the monument in his honour. A few dozen metres further on, take the path on the right. This will climb slightly. Take the second path on the left and follow it to Route de Balmoral. Follow this road for a few minutes on the left-hand side. You will see a path on the right. Cross the main road very carefully and take this path.
(10) Follow the path on the right. It isn’t very long, but the climb is quite steep. Turn left onto Avenue Léopold II. Go past the next junction and carry on straight ahead onto the N685. Leave this main road by turning onto the path on the left, then immediately turn right. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the rear of the Spa Thermal Baths.
(11) Take in the magnificent view over the town of Spa. Carefully follow the path as it zigzags down to the Place Royale.
(12) At the foot of this path, cross the Parc des Sept Heures by keeping to the right and leave the park at Rue Hanster.
(13) You’ll find the Laundry Museum directly in front of you. Turn left and continue straight on to reach Avenue Reine-Astrid. Turn right and continue to the roundabout opposite the Villa Royale. Cross the roundabout and return to the starting point via Rue de la Gare (S/E).
