(S) Leave the campsite on the left, join the path that goes round the roundabout, head up Rue Émile Tandel, then turn right and follow the Bélarel to junction 67 (3rd exit off the roundabout onto Rue de Bastogne), then head towards junction 69 (turn left onto Rue des Faubourgs, then take the 4th left onto Marché aux Légumes and turn right onto Grand-Rue).
(1) Go down Rue des Déportés on the right and continue along Avenue du Luxembourg.
(2) Turn right onto the cycle path towards junction 77.
(3) Turn left and follow (via Rue d’Autelhaut, then Rue de l’Eau, Rue Saint-Fiacre and Rue de Sterpenich) the Bélarel route to Sterpenich (4), the last Belgian village. Continue along the river. Pass through Kleinebettingen and then Hagen towards Wandhaff. Turn right onto the cycle path running alongside the N6.
(5) Turn right onto Rue des 3 Cantons and cross it 50 metres further on to rejoin the cycle path
(6) Turn right onto the PC14 heading south, then follow it alongside the railway line.
(7) After junction number 69, the cycle path continues but becomes the PC13 and runs alongside EuroVelo 5.
(8) Turn right onto Rue des Prés for 100 metres, then left onto Rue du Cimetière for 1 km, and finally left onto Rue de l’Industrie. Continue to the roundabout and cross the motorway on the EV5, which is also the PC1.
(9) Let the PC1 cycle path branch off to the right and turn left onto Avenue Gaston Diderich, which is still signposted as EV5 and also VdL10 on this section.
(10) Turn left to cross the park and rejoin the EV5 (now the VdL9 and, a little further on, the VdL5).
(11) Walk back and forth across the footbridge with its transparent walls, then head down the hairpin bends of Rue de la Semois
(12) Follow the Pétrusse along the VdL E9 towards the Grund and cross the Alzette. Follow its meandering course along PC1, a very quiet track after crossing Boulevard Patton (13) . There are several information boards, including (14) and (15) on the history of these districts of the capital.
(16) Stay on the EV5 but leave PC1 by turning left along the campsite.
(17) Still on the EV5 route, turn right onto Rue des Champs, then onto Rue Killeberg, and finally onto Rue de Dalheim. Turn right onto the PC11 cycle path.
(18) Turn right and leave the cycle path to reach Aspelt via the footpath and then the Péiter Vun Uespelt Strooss. Cross the main road and continue along Um Kläppchen.
(19) 100 metres further on, join the PC6 route, which crosses over the motorway.
(20) Leave the PC6, which runs alongside the motorway, and cross the border via the footpath that continues opposite.
(21) Turn right onto the road signposted “Communauté de Communes de Cattenom et Environs”.
(22) In Rodemack, turn left, then after 50 metres turn right onto Rue du Luxembourg. Continue along the Route de Thionville (marked ‘BOL’).
(23) Still following the “Route Boler” signposts, turn left and, 50 metres further on, turn right onto the road leading to Cattenom.
(24) Leave the cycle path running alongside the road to follow the cycle route towards Cattenom, which crosses the Maginot Line (25) .
(26) Follow the V50 southwards along the Moselle.
(27) At the bend, leave the V50 and continue towards St-Rémy: cross over the motorway and follow the lake.
(28) Turn right and, 200 metres further on, turn left over the railway lines. Cross the D652 and take the cycle path on the left.
(29) At the end of the housing estate, turn left and follow the path through the Bois St Vincent. Cross the D50, head up into the Bois de la Gentière and descend towards Saulny.
(30) Go round the community hall and the warehouse. Head to Lorry (E) via Vigneulles.
