(S/E) From the Anse Duquery car park, take the road to the right (north) for about 200 m.
(1) Follow the path on the right, with an information board at the start. Follow the yellow markings and the path to Rivière la Coulisse.
(2) Cross the river, taking care as the rocks are slippery. Do not attempt to cross in bad weather. Continue along the trail for 500 metres until you reach the engraved rocks known as "La femme qui accouche" (The Woman Giving Birth).
(3) Continue to the mill.
(4) Go behind the mill and explore the site: on the left, you will find the ruins of an old watermill about 200 m away; on the right, about 100 m away, are the remains of buildings. Retrace your steps back to the mill.
Continue for about 1 km and you will find the Lépiné trees, then the powder magazine and the cannon batteries.
(5) Continue on the left after the batteries. Follow the path between the volcanic rocks to the stairs about 1.5 km away and Anse Grande Ravine.
(6) Return to the car park (S/E) by retracing your steps.
