Suc de la Lauzière
The ascent of the Suc de la Lauzière (1,582 m) in the snow offers a superb 360° panorama of the Mezenc and the Estables, the Gerbier de Jonc, and all the surrounding knolls.
This route is a shortened version of the ‘Quatre Sucs’ hike, designed to let you enjoy the magnificent snow-covered landscapes.
Tour and ascent of Mont d'Alambre
Starting from the charming village of Les Estables, this hike takes you on a tour and ascent of Mont d'Alambre (a ski resort in winter), with a 360° view of the surrounding peaks and a magnificent view of Mont Mézenc, the highest point in the region.
Rochers de la Sausse, Pas de Chovet and Bois de Rucla
After passing through the Col de la Bataille, take an aerial walk along the ridges of the Sausse rocks to the pass of the same name at an altitude of 1,440 metres, with beautiful views. After the Pas de Chovet, discover a double stone arch in the Bois de Ruclas, an extraordinary place with a promontory and a magnificent view of the Léoncel valley. Return to the Auberge du Grand Échaillon, which is also a cross-country skiing centre in winter, with the Col de la Bataille road, which is closed at this time of year, serving as a ski trail.
La Servelle via Volvent
A summit in southern Diois (1613m), isolated between the Aucelon and Couspeau mountains, offers beautiful 360° views. The starting point is in Volvent, a small village of thirty inhabitants at the end of the Roanne Valley.
Short tour of Dunière via Le Doulet
A short half-day outing. No major difficulties except for the short but intense descent around the climbing site.
On the Combes trail and at the top of the climbing site, there are some very pretty views down onto the Eyrieux valley and the greenhouses opposite. On the way back, after Le Doulet, there is a pleasant walk along the river where waterfalls and pools follow one another in succession.
Rossas Dindaret Mountain
A beautiful hike to discover wild peonies in the Valdrôme area, on the Crêtes des Casses in the Haut Diois, on the border of the Drôme Provençale.
This walk is a feast for the eyes, as you will encounter a wide variety of flowers in May and June.
Neck de Sceautres, Serre de la Fourche
The magnificent little village of Sceautres is nestled against the imposing basalt neck, the remains of a volcanic eruption. This immense block is the lava contained in the volcano's chimney, whose cone has disappeared due to erosion.
The three villages of Sainte-Croix, Vachères-en-Quint and Saint-Andéol
Tour of the small villages and hamlet of the Quint valley.
The Coupe de Jaujac volcano and its basalt flows
Starting from Jaujac, there is a magnificent Roman bridge and impressive basalt columns on the banks of the Lignon. Tour via the Pont de l'Échelette, the Château de Rochemure (Maison du Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche) and finally climb the Coupe de Jaujac volcano with a tour of the crater.
