The Lambourn Valley Way is a delightful 32km (20 mile) mile walk, from the Ridgeway at Uffington Castle to Newbury. This circular walk goes from Lambourn to the Ridgeway past Ashdown House, along the Ridgeway past the ancient monuments of Wayland's Smithy and Uffington Castle, and returns to Lambourn along the Lambourn Valley Way. The route "The Lambourn Valley Way, from Lambourn to Newbury (with shorter options)" describes the continuation of this walk to Newbury.

The Lambourn Valley Way is a delightful 32km (20 mile) mile walk, from the Ridgeway at Uffington Castle to Newbury. This route describes the second part of this walk, from Lambourn to Newbury, including an optional visit to Donnington Castle. It mostly follows the bank of the River Lambourn or the route of the dismantled Lambourn Valley Railway.

An interesting and varied walk along the stream/river valleys of the River Glyme and a tributary, and through the park of a country house with several eccentric features. On the way, you can stop at a nature reserve of natural Cotswold limestone grassland. The first half of the walk follows Shakespeare's Way.

This walk combines one of the best sections of the Ridgeway and the start of the Lambourn Valley Way with visits to two ancient monuments. It is easy walking; the paths are either well-made or on well-drained chalk downland.

A short and easy walk through Beresford Dale, which was an inspiration for the book 'The Compleat Angler' by Sir Izaac Walton. It also includes a variety of landscapes of limestone country, including lanes between dry stone walls and upland pasture.

A walk along one of the best sections of the ridge of the South Downs with excellent views to the north. It then returns through one of its dry valleys. The route is easy to follow and, being on chalk, is generally firm and dry (apart from a few short sections on farm tracks).
