- S/E : km 0 - alt. 65 m - 01Start =>Take Intake Lane SE from Bickerstaffe Village. Pedestrian footpath is not available for third of this section so take care to face any on comming traffic.
- 2 : km 1.76 - alt. 48 m - 02Ben Lane =>Turn SW (right) along Ben Lane.
- 3 : km 2.59 - alt. 45 m - 03Ben Bend =>Continue to follow Ben Lane as it turns NW (right)
- 4 : km 2.9 - alt. 45 m - 04Coach Road =>Turn South (left) onto Coach Road and follow it as it passes over rail track.
- 5 : km 4.88 - alt. 42 m - 05Dairy Farm Road =>At Dairy Farm junction turn SW through gate to continue along farm track.
- 6 : km 5.21 - alt. 40 m - 06Simonswood =>Turn NW (right) to take track beside Wild Goose Stack.
- 7 : km 6 - alt. 37 m - 07Wild Goose =>Turn West (left) along farm track.
- 8 : km 6.56 - alt. 41 m - 08Rail Bridge =>Turn North (right) along path crossing over rail track. Good views East on bridge to Winter Hill and Billinge Hill.
- 9 : km 7.03 - alt. 36 m - 09New Bridge Lake =>Upon reaching road beside lake turn West (left).
- 10 : km 7.18 - alt. 38 m - 10Stoppage Lane =>Turn briefly North (right) along Stoppage Lane.
- 11 : km 7.39 - alt. 35 m - 11Sewage Works =>Immediately after entrance to sewage works turn West (left) to take footpath along southern edge of field. Cross footbridge and pass by Voces Farm buildings.
- 12 : km 8.13 - alt. 39 m - 12Voces Farm =>Having passed Voces Farm follow track North onto footpath along Western side of field boundary.
- 13 : km 8.73 - alt. 41 m - 13Back Line =>Join Back Lane and follow it North to New Way.
- 14 : km 9.37 - alt. 41 m - 14New Way =>Turn East (right) along New Way.
- 15 : km 9.57 - alt. 40 m - 15Voces Lane =>Turn North (left) along farm track, Voces Lane.
- 16 : km 10.2 - alt. 40 m - 16Mercers Lane =>Turn East (right) along Mercers Lane.
- 17 : km 10.5 - alt. 40 m - 17Ox Hey Farm =>Take footpath initially North (left) behind Ox Hey Farm and follow it as it bends NE.
- 18 : km 11.76 - alt. 53 m - 18Ox Hey Field =>Turn SE (right) taking footpath beside woodland.
- 19 : km 12.13 - alt. 59 m - 19Hall Lane =>Turn NE (left) onto Hall Lane and follow it past Bickerstaffe Hall back to start.
