- 20 : km 42.36 - alt. 637 m - Follow a track round here into a hollow w/ stream
- 21 : km 42.45 - alt. 668 m - Cross water and look for ramp feature running up L
- 22 : km 42.95 - alt. 849 m - At top, slight R up hollow then L to top
- 23 : km 43.39 - alt. 885 m - Follow tourist path back off top to where flattens
- 24 : km 43.46 - alt. 867 m - You have to exit the scree/path before its end
- 25 : km 44.05 - alt. 780 m - Cross boulders here, otherwise a fast descent
- 26 : km 45.9 - alt. 830 m - Head up, it's slow, path not important
- 27 : km 46.35 - alt. 904 m - Head close to cliff edge
- 28 : km 46.89 - alt. 697 m - After this flat bit, keep on R side of The Band
- 29 : km 48.06 - alt. 507 m - Water here though not shown on map.
- 30 : km 49.45 - alt. 802 m - Seems best just to stay on path, resist beeline
- 31 : km 50.15 - alt. 677 m - Important to cut left up a ramp feature
- 32 : km 50.77 - alt. 749 m - Water here but a bit sluggish
- 33 : km 51.22 - alt. 784 m - Keep R of fence, good on grass
- 34 : km 51.36 - alt. 764 m - Diverge from fence/path towards a hollow
- 35 : km 51.72 - alt. 699 m - Joss's Gully. Keep R out of gully bed
- 36 : km 53 - alt. 650 m - Traverse then climb up once or twice here
- 37 : km 54.65 - alt. 847 m - Faster on grass to L of path initially
- 38 : km 55.14 - alt. 776 m - Essential traverse here saves time
- 39 : km 58.32 - alt. 756 m - Old style scree run starts here, seems fastest
- 40 : km 63.78 - alt. 223 m - Take fork R, path closer to stream
- 41 : km 64.38 - alt. 78 m - Don't forget Joss says route ends on bridge!
