- S/E : km 0 - alt. 19 m - Park on the Fintry Road (the main street, B822) in Kippen and wait for the bus to Gargunnock (normally at 10.30 a.m.).
- 2 : km 0.01 - alt. 19 m - On alighting from the bus, walk down to the road junction and turn sharp right into Main Street. Walk up the hill to Stevenson Street.
- 3 : km 0.3 - alt. 35 m - Turn right into Stevenson Street
- 4 : km 0.42 - alt. 37 m - At the end of the street, look for the signpost on the right pointing to a path between the houses,
- 5 : km 0.51 - alt. 37 m - Cross the road and take the path between the trees, known as 'The Beeches'.
- 6 : km 1 - alt. 38 m - At the end of the path, continue straight on along the tarmac road.
- 7 : km 1 - alt. 38 m - Turn slight right
- 8 : km 1.58 - alt. 38 m - Turn left
- 9 : km 1.58 - alt. 38 m - Turn left
- 10 : km 1.62 - alt. 38 m - Immediately after crossing the Leckie Burn, turn right and follow it to the Leckie Farm.

- 12 : km 2.08 - alt. 31 m - Turn left onto the farm track and continue straight on.
- 13 : km 3.27 - alt. 28 m - Turn slight right
- 14 : km 3.35 - alt. 24 m - Keep left
- 15 : km 4 - alt. 22 m - Keep right
- 16 : km 4.03 - alt. 20 m - Admire the Boquhan Bridge and carry straight on.
- 17 : km 4.1 - alt. 29 m - Go through a gate and cross the sheep field along a well-defined path
- 18 : km 4.53 - alt. 43 m - Go through a pedestrian gate into the woods.
- 19 : km 4.76 - alt. 59 m - The path emerges onto a tarmac road past several cottages.
- 20 : km 5.43 - alt. 90 m - Keep left and go along Burnside to the main road.
- 21 : km 6.07 - alt. 76 m - Turn left to return to the parked car.
- 22 : km 6.07 - alt. 76 m - Turn left onto Station Road, B822
- S/E : km 12.25 - alt. 19 m
