Waypoints
- S/E : km 0 - alt. 63 m - Start on Quarry Road. Go into the woods by the Information Board and follow the path in a clockwise direction.
- 2 : km 0.49 - alt. 65 m - The path you meet is the main route from the Gillies Hill road up to the viewpoint. Go straight across and continue straight on.
- 3 : km 0.75 - alt. 72 m - When the ruins oif the walled garden come into view, follow the path on the left.
- 4 : km 0.98 - alt. 70 m - Follow the path alongside the walled garden and continue straight on after the end of the walled garden.
- 5 : km 1.27 - alt. 60 m - At the site of the old Curling Pond turn right onto a path that climbs through the trees.
- 6 : km 1.44 - alt. 73 m - At the Ladies Pool go up the incline on the right.
- 7 : km 1.48 - alt. 76 m - Turn left and follow the path up to the ruins of Polmaise Castle.
- 8 : km 1.68 - alt. 99 m - Turn left and follow the substantial path away from the castle ruins.
- 9 : km 1.82 - alt. 92 m - In 100 yards, turn right onto a minor path that climbs up through the trees.
- 10 : km 2.03 - alt. 117 m - Turn right onto a substantial path and follow it for 500 yards.
- 11 : km 2.46 - alt. 129 m - Tutn left onto an ill-defined path that climbs to the sequoias.
- 12 : km 2.63 - alt. 154 m - Go through a gap in the fence onto a substantial path that runs down to the quarry floor. Turn left and follow the path down.
- 13 : km 3.17 - alt. 145 m - Turn left and follow the path down.
- 14 : km 3.61 - alt. 115 m - Turn right and follow the track to the entrance to the quarry.
- S/E : km 5.09 - alt. 65 m
