  1. S/E : km 0 - alt. 356 m - Start at the end of the road and head through the gate up hill westwards.
  2. 2 : km 0.15 - alt. 371 m - Turn left
  3. 3 : km 0.51 - alt. 396 m - continue past Froggymede stone circle, stone rows and cairns on your right.
  4. 4 : km 1.13 - alt. 442 m - Turn left
  5. 5 : km 1.27 - alt. 440 m - Turn slight right
  6. 6 : km 1.88 - alt. 481 m - Turn slight left
  7. 7 : km 2.05 - alt. 476 m - Turn slight right
  8. 8 : km 2.19 - alt. 478 m - pass through the gate on the forest edge (Sittaford Moor Gate) and follow the path alongside the wall.
  9. 9 : km 2.54 - alt. 478 m - Turn slight left
  10. 10 : km 2.72 - alt. 477 m - Turn slight left
  11. 11 : km 2.77 - alt. 479 m - Cross the broken remains of the Whitehorse Leat water channel and you will find yourself at Grey Wethers stone circles.
  12. 12 : km 2.83 - alt. 480 m - Turn left
  13. 13 : km 2.85 - alt. 479 m - Turn sharp right
  14. 14 : km 2.97 - alt. 489 m - Turn sharp right
  15. 15 : km 2.97 - alt. 489 m - Turn slight left
  16. 16 : km 3 - alt. 493 m - When you draw level with a stile in the wall leading back to Grey Wethers you will find a clear broad path leading down hill to the north east.
  17. 17 : km 3.41 - alt. 529 m - Keep plodding up the steep rise to Sittaford Tor, Climbing to the top is rewarded by good views of the north east Moor.
  18. 18 : km 3.5 - alt. 530 m - Cross the stile and head to the corner of the wall West of the tor. You will see the Sittaford Stone Row stretching westward.
  19. 19 : km 3.71 - alt. 524 m - Follow tyne stone row for about 200 metres until you see a very pointy stone large than those that you have passed so far, turn northwards and after a few metres you will see the stones of Sittaford stone circle laying on the ground.
  20. 20 : km 4.18 - alt. 532 m - Re-trace your steps to Sittaford Tor along the stone row and take a stile to pass the tor on the north side.
  21. 21 : km 5.25 - alt. 441 m - Follow the path downhill over the dry whitehorse leat and then across the shallow brook that runs to the Teign to the north. Across the brook the ground is quite soft but follow the path northwards to a gateway.
  22. 22 : km 5.43 - alt. 441 m - Once through the old gateway in the wall choose the uphill fork and a good grass path will lead you up to Teign Head Gate.
  23. 23 : km 5.76 - alt. 448 m - Once through the gate keep on the forest track following it up and through a crossroads over the hill and keep on the main track down the hill until you reach the gate where we started.

  25. 25 : km 7.72 - alt. 355 m - Turn sharp right
  26. S/E : km 7.73 - alt. 356 m
