Waypoints

  1. S/E : km 0 - alt. 14 m - From the left-hand side of the car park, follow the path down to the pond. After the viewing platform the path emerges on to the lawn facing the Pineapple. Left of the buildings, an arch in the brick wall surrounding the garden gives access to a woodland path.  Go L on the path and follow to a T junction. Turn L and continue into open countryside, passing through fields with fine views of the Ochil hills and the river Forth, to reach the access road leading to the Pineapple car park.
  2. 2 : km 2.28 - alt. 10 m - Follow the access road left to a small house and a signposted track on the R. The track leads past the house beside the wall of an old garden to a signposted path junction. Turn R on to the path, descending to cross a burn, and emerging into open country, with Dunmore village visible on the right. Turn L up a farm track to reach the ruins of Elphinstone Tower. Walk back to the main path. Continue straight on.
  3. 3 : km 3.84 - alt. 13 m - Turn R at the first junction and follow the path to Dunmore Village, crossing the A905. Banana break and opportunity to look at the new garden. Walk to the rear of the village and turn L following the path to Dunmore Home Farm. Walk back to the A905, cross and walk up the treelined path. Turn L at next junction and retrace the path back to the carpark.
  4. S/E : km 7.1 - alt. 13 m
