Waypoints
- S/E : km 0 - alt. 61 m - Meet at top of Quarry Road/ Old Drove Road, Cambusbarron. Walk towards quarries and take Upper Quarry Path through Fourth Quarry.
- 2 : km 0.95 - alt. 115 m - Return to track going uphill.
- 3 : km 1.21 - alt. 113 m - Walk through Murrayshall Quarry keeping to the left of the plateau and take access road down to junction with Polmaise Road. Pass Murrayshall limekilns.
- 4 : km 2.02 - alt. 93 m - Check field on right is empty of animals and go through gate. Go downhill and exit at gate opposite the ford over the Bannock Burn.
- 5 : km 2.16 - alt. 82 m - Cross the ford and almost immediately turn right into woodland and follow path which skirts the Burn.
- 6 : km 2.63 - alt. 77 m - Follow this until you reach the Craigend Limekilns. Banana break.
- 7 : km 3.36 - alt. 83 m - Take track to right of limekilns and follow it until you reach junction with another path. Turn left and follow path until you reach the rough road which goes to Swanswater. Turn left. Cross ford, return via same field and take narrow track path past Murrayshall Quarry. Take LHS path going down hill. Pass drained lochan and return to Quarry Road.
