Waypoints
- S/E : km 0 - alt. 35 m - From the Tourist Information Centre turn right along the Main Street and follow the pavement until the turning on the right for Doune Castle.
- 2 : km 0.25 - alt. 30 m - Follow the road round to the Castle and keeping it on the right, take the track leading off to the left. Follow this to the sewerage works and take the path to the left beside a gate. This leads to a grassy meadow.
- 3 : km 1.07 - alt. 14 m - Follow the path around the meadow and along the river. On arriving back at the sewerage works take the path to the left and continue up slightly. This path follows the river through woods past a meadow with wild flowers until it reaches a concrete wicket. Pass through the wicket and continue until the gap in the wall at the main road leading into Doune is reached.
- 4 : km 2.54 - alt. 16 m - Turn and retrace steps back to a bench with the castle behind and to the left. Here take a short path to the left up to join the main track back to the castle and return to the car park.
- S/E : km 3.5 - alt. 35 m
