Waypoints
- S/E : km 0 - alt. 10 m - Meet at front of Raploch Campus of FV College.
- 2 : km 0.43 - alt. 10 m - Turn right and go along Drip Road and cross over to Ramsay Place. Take underpass at Laurencecroft and cross over to Lower Bridge Street to enter precincts of Gowan Hill.
- 3 : km 0.96 - alt. 18 m - Go up Gowan Hill to Beheading Stone, then go downhill again and take path straight ahead passing the top of the Soldiers’ Steps, and standing stones in middle of path. At finger post turn left on surfaced path for Lower Castlehill. Take path and then go right uphill on the grassy bank to new interpretive boards. Circumvent the field heading towards new Community Orchard.
- 4 : km 2.01 - alt. 45 m - Join Crofthead Road and at top turn left, go down Barn Road onto Bridge Street. Turn right and take first on the right up Kingstables Lane. Cross Upper Castlehill and take path up to Castle Esplanade. Take steps down to Cemeteries and join Back Walk. Go down to corner with Highland Hotel. (Other path down through woodland subsiding and closed at present date). Pause for banana break opposite Smith Art Gallery or nearby.
- 5 : km 4.25 - alt. 26 m - Take path along to Ballengeich Road. Turn left downhill and cross at Fire Station. Go down Raploch Road on the LHS. At Drip Road go left and walk along until opposite the bus stop outside FV College Drip Road Campus.
- 6 : km 5.1 - alt. 10 m - Cross road and take path to side of College, turn right and follow pavement until you join the riverside path and follow it until you reach Old Stirling Bridge. Brief pause on bridge then return by Ramsay Place to the Raploch Campus.
- S/E : km 8.28 - alt. 10 m
