- S/E : km 0 - alt. 36 m - From Thornhill Community Hall car park, walk back to the B822.
- 2 : km 0.15 - alt. 33 m - Turn left, cross over to Doig Street.
- 3 : km 0.47 - alt. 23 m - At the end, turn right and follow the path till it emerges at Low Town.
- 4 : km 0.64 - alt. 29 m - Turn left along Back Yetts to the A873.
- 5 : km 0.89 - alt. 35 m - Turn right along the pavement to the junction. Cross both roads.
- 6 : km 1.14 - alt. 36 m - A few yards further north, turn right and follow the track leading through rough land along the backs of the main street gardens.
- 7 : km 1.75 - alt. 39 m - When the track turns right, cross the wee wooden bridge and cut up forward left to the field gate. Go through it, turn left and follow the path to the next gate.
- 8 : km 2.21 - alt. 36 m - Turn right towards the burn. At this point there is an optional spur up a grassy field beside Cessintully Burn for a short distance before retracing steps. Then follow the field edge down the burn, cut off the last corner to a gate and turn right onto the lane leading back to the Main Street.
- 9 : km 2.38 - alt. 37 m - Cross over and go left along the pavement, then right and right again on farm roads. Just before Norrieston Farms, turn left up a green lane, then left along a path.
- 10 : km 3.19 - alt. 22 m - Go through the gate, forward right, taking the path along the fence beside a children’s cycle track between you and the wigwams.
- 11 : km 3.93 - alt. 30 m - Turn right at the B822 to return to the car park.
- S/E : km 4.33 - alt. 37 m
