Description

(S/E) Park your car in Porth Beach car park.

(1) From the car park, turn right and go up walking along the pavement in Alexandra road. Leave the footpath leading to the head on your left next to Newquay Football Golf house but continue up going past Whipsiderry Close on your right. When you reach Trevelgue Road, bear left to the Coastal path between fences which overlooks the impressive Black Humphrey Rock! Continue along the cliff heading to the footbridge.

(2) Cross the footbridge, glancing at Dollar Rock on your right and go straight ahead to the promontory noticing remains of a barrow (early Bronze Age) and ramparts. (please, pay attention to obscured cliff edges on your way!).

(3) When you finally reach the promontory, enjoy the 360° viewpoint: Newquay Bay on your left and Watergate Bay on your right! It's really beautiful. Retrace your steps to the footbridge and bear right to the path along the cliff edge and Porth Beach until you reach Newquay Football Golf house. Turn right descending Alexandra Road for 250metres and you are back to the car park.(S/E)
