Start from the harbour car park.
(S/E) Take the access road from the harbour to rejoin the D757, then turn right towards the village. Follow the main road as far as the self-service shop.
(1) 50 m further on, turn left onto a path marked by a signpost on a post to the left of the road. The path climbs through the scrub between a low stone wall and a fence. Follow the orange markings.
Looking back during the climb reveals a view of the Taravo valley and the Étang de Tanchiccia.
(2) At thefirst junction, turn left onto the gently descending path towards Punta Di Porto Poddu (Porto Pollo headland). No signposting.
(3) 100 metres past the large boulder on the right-hand side of the path, leave the wide path and turn right, then follow the sandy track that leads into the vegetation. Then descend quite steeply towards the tower, which can be seen through the trees.
(4) Genoese tower of Capanella. Continue along the path behind the tower and begin the descent.
(5) At the junction at the bottom of the slope, turn left to follow a wide track through the vegetation. Ignore the small paths and property entrances to stay on the main track (yellow markings).
(6) At the crossroads in the “Panorama de Porto Pollo” housing estate, turn right onto the tarmac road towards the hamlet known as “Résidence de Punta”.
(7) Head downhill to the left through the “La Punta” housing estate.
(8) At the end of the road, take the small path on the left running alongside a property, then go through a gate and follow a lane down to the coast.
(9) Facing the sea, turn left and then walk as close as possible to the seafront until you reach the car park at Porto Pollo harbour, the end point of this walk (S/E).
