Start about a hundred metres after the southern exit of the village of Vergnolle, heading towards the hamlet of La Crouzette. There is a small parking area on the left, but make sure to leave the fire hydrant unobstructed.
(S/E) Retrace your steps and cross the village, passing two roads on your right, then reach an intersection at a green horticultural greenhouse.
(1) Turn right before the greenhouse, then after another greenhouse, turn right and follow the unpaved, grassy path.
(2) At the road, continue to the right and continue to a T-junction at the edge of the village. Turn left towards La Crouzette-Nord.
Follow the tarmac road until you reach a wooden fence. Take the path that runs alongside the fence on the right. Follow it through the woods for about 1.5 km until you reach the village of Lussac.
(3) Just after the chapel, turn right onto the street and then, at the end, left onto a path. At the road, turn right and head towards the village of Péchalifour, which you can see on the other side of the fields. At the three-way junction, turn left. In the hamlet, go down the road between the houses (south-west), then continue along the unpaved path until you reach a four-way crossroads.
(4) Turn left and, at the next junction, turn right. The path then descends considerably, leaving the forest and reaching a road.
(5) Continue right on the road, which climbs slightly.
(6) Just before a large iron gate at the entrance to the forest, turn right onto the dirt track and continue to a fork at the end of the field.
(7) Turn right, walk along the field on your right, then continue straight ahead through the undergrowth. Ignore the secondary paths on the right and left.
(8) At the crossroads, after going around the shoulder, ignore the path on the right leading downhill and go straight ahead. Follow the green marked path for a few metres.
(9) At the crossroads with road signs, continue straight ahead and follow "Les Eyzies par la Vergnolle". At the hamlet of La Vergnolle, turn right onto the tarmac road and return to the starting point (S/E).
