Description of the walk

Depart from the car park on the D667 before Trévans.

(S/E) Take the path which is perpendicular to the road, going along the Estoublaisse on its right bank. You will reach a small bridge.

(1) Cross the river over the bridge and, in front of the information signs, climb to the right up the quite steep path up to the Trévans gîte.

(2) Follow the path due south for a few dozen metres and then take the path which heads off to the left, leading to a balcony overlooking the gorges, before heading back down to the hamlet of Valbonette.

(3) Continue to go along the Ravin de Mayaiche on the right bank before branching off to the right until you meet another small bridge going over the Estoublaisse.

(4) After crossing the bridge over the water, follow the path which climbs to the left until you reach another fork.

(5) Take the path on the right in the direction of the Saint-André Chapel and the Roman bridge. At the next intersection, climb up to the ruins of the Saint-André Chapel.

(6) Go back down via the same route up to point (5).

(5) Take the path on the right which takes you back to the departure point (S/E).

It was the first time I had really used the app on my own. I didn't have any problems. Thank you.
This hike is really very pleasant, well shaded in hot weather. And there are plenty of opportunities to take a dip in the water along the way.

Very shaded hike. We set off at 8 a.m. Beautiful scenery.
A slightly exposed section was very well secured with a cable, allowing all participants to cross without any problems.
Picnic around 1 p.m. with our feet in the water.
A very beautiful walk.

A very pleasant walk, sometimes in the forest, sometimes on aerial paths. I usually use the GPS as well as the signs, so no problem.
The castle is a pleasant site with a pool and shade, and I also liked the aerial paths, which sometimes have a cable but are not compulsory. I had a picnic in the gorges, by the stream (as did all the hikers, but there weren't many of them and there's plenty of space), which was very refreshing. The diversions to the chapel of Saint André is well worth making, if only to make sure you don't miss it!
The gorges will remain a magnificent memory. It's a shame that the car parks are closed from 10.00 pm to 8.00 am, as I would have liked to spend the night in my car.
Thank you for this itinerary!

Hi, I did this route counter-clockwise yesterday with a small group of friends. The group enjoyed this magnificent hike.

Magnificent hike today. The water, the undergrowth, the birdsong, the abundant flowers, everything was great. Just one small comment. About 1 km from the Saint Georges chapel fork to get back to the start of the hike, there was a tiny, slightly complicated passage on an extremely steep and slippery rock.

A very well-marked route offering great views from the top of the balconies. Most of the route is in woodland, which is appreciated in hot weather. Valbonnette is the ideal spot for a picnic break.

Nice as anything. I'd do it again, I think it's perfect in that sense.

Superb walk, long with lots of beautiful climbs and quite a few steep descents, but what a spectacle. What happiness on the natural balconies with breathtaking views. The Chapelle Saint André has to be earned, it's a steep climb but the 360° view is worth the effort. I was even able to spot a pair of vultures 50m below my path, which was just too good.
Thank you for this hike.
See you soon on the trails.

Magnificent course, we've been wanting to do it for 2 years and I'm not sorry we came back on this day - average difficulty, very few people. Alternating between covered passages with dense vegetation and more mineral passages, a diversity of vegetation all along the route, very pleasant... Of course, this route must be very careful with children...
Definitely worth doing again.

A sublime hike through landscapes that are as different as they are breathtaking. The route is sometimes aerial, but the path poses no difficulty or danger.

super rando, nous l'avons fait dans l'autre sens (nous avons suivi le tracer jaune bien indiqué tout le long)
the monastery (ruined church) is very beautiful, we picnicked there, beautiful views, shade and sun to please everyone
the route is sometimes shaded and sometimes sunny as it was very hot we enjoyed the shady spots
We didn't go to the castle, but we'll go back another time. We descended through the gorges, which are a little steep.
this walk is really magnificent thank you
