Park in the car park (La Crouette) at the entrance to Corsavy.
(S/E) Walk down the D43 for about 600 m until you reach the sign for the Sant Marti Chapel.
(1) Take the path that climbs to the left, leading to the beautifully restored Romanesque chapel of Sant Marti de Corsaví, which is open to visitors. Then continue along the track behind it. This passes by a ruin. Just after the ruin, the track disappears and you will see a path in the middle of the meadow that descends to the right (east). Be careful, as it is not very visible in places.
(2) At the bottom of the meadow, at the edge of the forest, a cairn on the right indicates the start of the path to take. This path descends slowly to the D43 road at Coll de l'Ànsia.
(3) Cross the road and take the track towards Vilafort. Follow this track for about 2 km.
(4) Just before the Can Villafort house (at Vilafort), take the grassy track that descends to the left. You will arrive at Còrrec del Pas de l'Avet, which you will cross. The path climbs back up alongside the stream. You will enter a magnificent boxwood forest, where the sun hardly penetrates.
You will pass thefirst ruin, which looks like an old oven. Further on, you will go around the top of an old water reservoir with its water inlet pipe, which is in very good condition. Continue along the stream. There are several paths running alongside it.
The path takes you across a stream and then climbs up a shoulder between the two arms of the stream. After an ascent of about 100 m, the path disappears a little among the fallen trees. You have to navigate around them as best you can, but you will soon reach the road. The GPX track is very useful at this point.
(5) When you reach the D44 road, follow it downhill to the right until you reach the bridge over the Còrrec del Pas de l'Avet at an altitude of 747 metres. Immediately after, leave the road and take the track on the left, following it uphill.
(6) At thesecond hairpin bend to the left, leave the D.F.C.I. track, which continues to climb to the left, and take the grassy track to the right, heading east. After more than 2 km of climbing, you will reach a junction of several tracks at an altitude of 950 m.
(7) Continue straight ahead to begin the descent. Pass a large sheepfold and continue along this track.
(8) At the fork at an altitude of 913 metres, turn right to descend towards Corsavy.
(9) Turn right onto a path to reach the old Calaris signal tower overlooking the village of Corsavy.
(10) There are two options from this tower. Either retrace your steps to return to the village, or follow the description and descend directly behind the tower via a small path, which is quite steep and a little overgrown at the bottom.
After taking various narrow streets in the village, you will return to the car park where you started (S/E).
