The starting point is near the Croix du Chêne, on the edge of the D5 between Saint-Michel and Aubenas. Leave the road and take the track, passing the small tarmac road called Chemin du Farnet on your left, and park a few metres further on in an open space.
(S/E) Follow the track to the left, which becomes a path after the first kilometre and leads to the edge of a lavender field where there is a survey marker.
(1) A few metres further on, the path continues through the forest, still on the plateau, running along the slope above the Largue plain. Keep heading north to reach the Jas de Savy, now in ruins, of which only sections of ivy-covered walls remain.
(2) Continue straight on to reach the prehistoric cave: it is actually more of a rock shelter. A passage allows you to descend beneath the rocky outcrop a few dozen metres south of the shelter. After this, follow the foot of the outcrop northwards and take a path that leads back up to the main track.
(4) Leave the edge of the plateau and turn onto the track on the right. At the three-way junction (elevation 740), head down to the left towards the spring, which is just beyond a shelter with a tin roof, amongst the rocks to the left of the path.
(5) Continue on to reach the bottom of the Ravin de l'Été.
(6) Turn right to follow the stream on the left bank.
(7) Cross the stream to climb up the other side of the ravine. Once on the plateau, the path runs more or less alongside a track on the right-hand side before eventually joining it.
(8) Turn left to reach the junction at the hamlet of Les Eyssarts.
(9) Turn right to join the main track and head straight on to the car park (S/E).
