Description of the walk

Start : The White Hart circular, Hamstead Marshall (RG20 0HW) Grid ref. SU 414 654

(S/E) From The White Hart, go towards Newbury.

(1) In 400yds turn right up a footpath uphill through fields.

(2) On reaching a lane, turn right and follow it through Holtwood and downhill for 500yds more.

(3) Take a footpath right that comes out in 500 yds onto a main road.

(4) Go right for 400yds.

(5) Turn right at the T-junction towards Holtwood.

(6) In 150yds, take a footpath left uphill with a wood on the right until you meet a lane to Waterman's Farm.

(7) Here turn 90 degrees right and follow the path through woods and downhill across fields to Plumb's Farm, which is opposite the pub. (S/E)
