Description of the walk

_ Start _: Park in the Rue de la Pissotte parking lot in Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, behind the
Châtelet campsite.

(S/E) Leave the car park, turn right onto the track and continue to an intersection where you will find the GR®34. Turn right again to follow this GR®. Keep to the red and white markings.
At the end of the path, return to the road and turn left into Rue Basse Lormet.

(1) At the left-hand path with a barrier, turn left again (red and white markings). Continue on Rue de la Mare.

(2) At the intersection, turn left onto Allée de la Pointe du Loup to find the coastal path. Stay on this road until you reach Pointe de l'Isle. At the canon, take the road down to Port Jacquet. Follow the Red and White route. Continue along the harbor until you reach the Boulevard de la Mer crossroads.

(3) Continue on the GR® along the seafront until you reach Rue Primauguet, which you turn right into. At the end of this street, reach Boulevard Jacques Cartier.

(4) Turn right onto Rue du Duc d'Aiguillon, then right again onto Boulevard de la Mer.

(3) Turn right, then follow Rue de la Corniche en l'Isle to reach the Rue du Port Jacquet crossroads.

(5) Turn left and stay on the main road.

(6) At the intersection with Rue de la Gare, keep right and take Rue des Nouettes. Drive up this street and, before the campsite, turn right into Rue de la Pissotte.
Continue straight on until you reach the car park (S/E).

A lovely loop along the GR 34 and then through the town. Not very difficult, but walking shoes are advisable.

The Pissote car park is overgrown with grass, but you can park just before it in an alley.
Very nice route, especially the first part with beautiful panoramas, the last part after the port is less interesting. The GR34 is certainly one of the most beautiful GRs in France.

Great walk despite the low tide. Just pay attention to the tide.

the starting point should be changed, as the car park is overgrown with weeds.
Very nice walk on the outward journey, but lack of interest on the return journey.

Hello everyone.
Nice coastal walk with beautiful houses, very beautiful beach of Saint Cast le Guildo, the paths along the Breton coast all have a special charm. Thanks for sharing;

The seaside sections (start and finish) are very attractive and easy to follow. From the port and during the crossing of the resort, there is not the same interest. The Pissote car park is impractical for both access and parking. Despite these negative points, we still remember the highlights of the walk, the view of Fort La Latte on the other side of the bay, the coastal path sometimes pleasantly shaded and sometimes opening out onto the sea, the wild beaches and cliffs.

There is now a section that avoids a diversion and runs alongside the sea

The best walk we did during the week we've just spent in the Côtes d'Armor.
A route with many viewpoints, and good protection from any wind thanks to the vegetation.
If you want a picnic, wait until you're past the harbour, as there are plenty of benches along the dyke that runs alongside the cliff.

A short stroll between the town and the coastal path, the port of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, the sea, the bay of La Fresnaye... what a delight.

Hello,

We did this walk on a day when the weather was fine.
When we arrived at the starting point, we were already wondering how to get started on this hike....
Once we'd set off, the scenery was beautiful, arriving at the pointe with its magnificent panorama and then descending towards St Cast.
Difficulty finding the rue Primauguet, we had to refer to the town map.....
So we ended up retracing our steps to get back to our car.
That spoils the fun a bit!

A very pleasant walk with beautiful views of the coast. To avoid going back through the streets of Saint Cast, leave the car park at Place Piron and take the path on the left towards the allée des genêts, then take rue de la gare and rue des Corbières to rejoin the path you took on the way out.
