(S/E) Go further on the lane from the pub, turn left at the T-junction, pass the Bull.

Notes

Start: The Boot, Stanford Dingley (RG7 6LT) Grid ref. SU 577 713
Alternatively, you can start and finish this walk at the Pot Kiln in Frilsham at the North-West corner of the map.

Driving to start: About twelve miles from Newbury. Take the A4 to Thatcham and turn left for Upper Bucklebury, then follow the road on for 4 miles to Chapel Row, where left at the triangle then first right SP Stanford Dingley. After about a mile and a half you come to the Boot on the right.

Refreshments: The Boot, a popular pub that has good beer, and provides excellent if somewhat pricey meals and snacks. The other pub in the village, the Bull now supplies excellent sandwiches and other bar snacks, together with expensive meals in the restaurant.

Between points 4 and 5 through the wood, the red line indicates a straight. Keep to the path which meanders away from the red line and rejoins about 500 metres ahead. For the rest, its a very nice walk and the route is well marked

Very nice walk through woods and fields. Getting a bit overgrown in a couple of places - I would have appreciated secateurs or longer trousers. Written description was mostly good, although had to back up by checking the route on the phone a couple of times.
