The departure point is Massy-Palaiseau station, at the intersection of the RER B, RER C and T12 tram lines.
(S) From the station forecourt, head to Massy-Europe station via the footpaths that run alongside the new tram line, in the heart of a rapidly changing neighbourhood. Take Avenue Raymond d'Aron, Avenue du Président Salvatore Allende, then turn right at the roundabout onto Rue Raymond Victor Basch. Then turn left onto Mail Commandant Cousteau, join Avenue de Paris, pass under the railway tracks and turn right onto Voie de Briis.
(1) At Massy-Europe Station, cross the outskirts of the business park towards Champlan, following the T12 line. Continue straight ahead until you reach Avenue du Maréchal Juin.
(2) Turn right and at the roundabout, turn left onto theD59Z.
(3) Champlan station, the first town in the inner suburbs to benefit from the T12, Champlan offers a quieter environment. Follow the cycle paths towards Longjumeau town centre. At the roundabout, turn left onto the D117, then left again onto Rue Jean Jaurès and Avenue de la Gare.
(4) Longjumeau station, formerly an RER C stop, the station retains its central role in the town. Continue along Rue de la Gare, then turn right onto Rue du Président François Mitterand, left onto Rue Georges Bizet and Avenue Pierre Brossolette.
(5) At Chilly-Mazarin station, continue towards Chilly-Mazarin along the wide pavements and shared lanes, Chemin des Chardonnerets, then turn right onto Rue des Cigognes. At the end, turn left opposite the municipal reception point, then turn right onto Allée du Pré du Roi.
(6) At the end, continue along the cycle path to Gravigny-Balizy station.
(7) Continue along the railway tracks on your left. Cross a residential area towards Gravigny-Balizy station, which is part of the urban fabric of Arpajon.
(8) At Petit-Vaux station, descend gently towards the Yvette. The neighbourhood around Petit-Vaux retains a more natural character.
(9) At Épinay-sur-Orge station, which marks the entrance to a greener area, turn left, then right and go under the railway bridge. Immediately afterwards, turn left, follow the railway line and you will come to a road bridge.
(10) Just before the bridge, turn right, then first turn left then right, and continue straight ahead to the bridge over the Orge. Quickly take the second lane on the left, make a right turn and return to the path you left earlier.
(11) Exit the park on the left and continue straight ahead until the end of Rue Marcel Cachin. Turn left and head towards Parc du Château station
(12) Turn right onto Rue de Savigny. The route here runs alongside the wooded and landscaped areas bordering the castle park. At the end, turn right onto the footpath, then turn right again and continue to the end of Sentier Charles Péguy. Continue left and go straight ahead to Coteaux de l'Orge station.
(13) Continue along Rue de la Roche Foucault and straight ahead. The path climbs up the hillsides, offering unobstructed views of the Orge Valley. Be careful on some of the steep sections. Continue along Avenue du Gai Soleil, then cross to the left to reach Rue des Bleuets.
(14) Follow it to the left, then continue along Avenue des Pylônes. At the end, turn left onto Avenue du Commandant Barre and head for Amédée Gordini Station.
(15) Return to a more urbanised area, crossing several roundabouts and business parks. Continue along the cycle path, cross the bridge over the motorway and arrive at Ferme Neuve Station.
(16) The Ferme Neuve neighbourhood has recently been developed. Continue towards Bois du Sud, keeping the motorway on your right. Then pass under the motorway bridge and turn left. Continue straight on to Bois de Saint-Eutrope station.
(17) Continue and then turn left onto Avenue Ambroise Croizat. This is a pleasant forest path between two residential areas, ideal for a break in the shade. Then turn right onto Avenue Jules Guesde, take the cycle path on the right and you will reach Traité de Rome station.
(18) Continue along the cycle path that runs alongside the modern facilities of the developing ZAC (joint development zone) and arrive at Bois Briard station.
(19) Continue along the cycle path, cross a mixed residential and natural area and arrive at Évry-Courcouronnes station (E).
Évry-Courcouronnes station, with connections to the RER D. The town centre of Évry and its modern facilities are a great place to take a final break before heading back to Paris.
