"La Fête de Mai in Gesves is a wonderful artistic and human adventure in a rural setting. In 2001, nature and art lovers came up with a bold project: to invite artists from all over the world to create works of art in natural materials in the countryside. The May Festival is now 25 years old! In 25 years, our landscape has been enriched, in Gesves alone, by 136 works of land art. Some have returned to nature, while others still stand proudly for the enjoyment of hikers."

All these works of art are linked by hiking trails that are accessible all year round.
This itinerary is a free and slightly extended version of the 2025 route proposed by Vagabond'art for discovering new works.
There are a total of 14 works to discover along this route.
It should be noted that, to the delight of hikers and local residents, La Fête de Mai has made it possible to rediscover and rehabilitate many public trails and rights of way that had become impassable, establish right of way agreements, and more, thanks to 25 years of work behind the scenes!

Please note: some of these trails are still overgrown with brambles and nettles.
