Start at the junction between Rue Fechaire and Fau-Sainte-Anne towards Faulx-les-Tombes. There is space to park 2-3 cars on the verge.
(S/E) From the parking area, take Rue Fau-Sainte-Anne, which is paved for about 50 m, then follow the path into the woods on the right. Pass near a road and stay on the forest path.
(1) Turn left at the Gesves riding school. As you pass, look out for a small pond with an information board. Cross the paths on your left and continue straight ahead between two fields.
(2) Follow the path, turning left, and do not go through the wooden barriers.
At a wayside shrine (a niche containing a statue of the Virgin Mary or a patron saint), turn right and join a road.
(3) Take this road on the left for about 30 m and enter the woods on the right. The path descends about 260 m. At the bottom of the descent, do not turn right but continue on the path on the left. Walk along the pond that you can see on your right through the trees.
(4) Take the path on the right that crosses the pond, continue straight ahead and join the Route d'Andenne. At the road, turn left, follow it and quickly reach the first intersection with a path on each side.
(5) Take the path on the left and follow this long straight country road to reach the Drève des Arches road. Turn right and continue along the Drève des Arches for 650 m.
(6) Turn left at La Pologne, go up Fond du Hainaut and continue along the path to the right of the last house. At the top of the path, turn right to reach Impasse du Blancbou.
(7) Continue to the right and cross the Gramptinne road at the red chapel of Sart-Mère. Continue to the Sart-Mère lodge.
(8) At the lodge of the old farm, go up the path on the left and enter the Bois de Gesves, following the signs for "Sentier Public". Further on, follow the road called Fau-Sainte-Anne for a few hundred metres and continue straight ahead at the crossroads. Follow the path that curves to the right until you reach a small stream.
(9) Cross this stream and take the path immediately on the left, crossing a footbridge.
Follow the forest path for 1 km to reach the place called Pré d'Amite.
(10) Take the road on the left and follow it to the end to return to the starting point (S/E).
