Steall Falls, Ben Nevis area

Start : Ben Nevis car park PH33 6SY

(S/E) Walk towards the end of the car park where you will find an information board. Go straight to the "Steall Gorge and waterfall" sign. This path is obvious and goes up the hill all the way. There are no junctions on the way. If you seem to see any stick to the main path!

(1) On the way, you will spot some views of the gorge and valley. towards the end of the walk, the path will be closeby to the gorge on your right hand before heading to an open field where you cannot miss the wonderful Steall Falls in front of you.

(2) As you reach closer to the river, at the Y junction, turn right towards the waterfall. At the river, you have the choice to cross it by the cable bridge (some balance and extra care are needed !) otherwise cross the river.

When you cross the river, either way, go left away from the hut on the riverside. The river is now on your left hand until you reach the waterfall. The way back to your car is exactly the same way as you came. (S/E)

Terrain: Boardwalk, slippery stones, steps made of stone, shady path.
